The following committees are working hard to make the Brazos Valley Worldfest a success for the entire community. If you or your organization is interested in participating, please email, volunteer@brazosvalleyworldfest.org to sign up!
Committee Job Duties:- Stage/Entertainment – Volunteers at one of the stages; Assist in keeping performances on schedule; Assist in ensuring performers needs are met regarding their performance; Assist with stage take down and set up for each performance (including opening ceremony)
- Opening Ceremony – Assist with segments of the opening ceremony; Assist with correct set up of ceremony
- Sponsor Solicitation – Work under committee chair to organize solicitation of sponsors for the festival; Assist in creating individual packages for each potential sponsor; Assist in contact and follow up with sponsors through the festival planning process.
- Education – Assist in promotion and marketing country poster competition to Brazos Valley school children; Assist with registration, setup, judging and awarding of the competition. Assist with set up and implementation of educational craft opportunities for the festival.
- Display/Culture Booth – Assist in selecting and recruiting student and cultural/heritage associations to participate in country display; Assist with registration process for groups to participate; Assist with planning meeting for booth participants; Assist with set up of displays the day of the festival; Assist groups with any needs associated with their booth
- Storytelling – Assist with the set up and theme of the storytelling tent; Assist storytellers with set up and presentation of their story; Ensure storytellers needs are met regarding their presentation; Assist with take down of tent after event
- Vendor/Concession – Assist with registration process for groups/businesses to participate; Assist with planning meeting for booth participants; Assist with set up of booths the day of the festival; Assist groups with any needs associated with their booth
- Logistics (parking, waste management, security...) – Assist with parking and offer directions and assistance to visitors; Act as first contact for vendors providing waste management and security services;
- Volunteer Floater – Participate as need to assist the festival; examples include handing out visitor bags, working information booth, acting as runner between information booth and stages...
- Marketing – Promote the festival by preparing and distributing flyers and brochures across the Brazos Valley. Also, work with media sponsors in advance and day of festival
- Kid's Village – Assist in different areas of the kid’s zone including, set up, take down, work with vendors, help with crafts, ensure safety, sell tickets/wristbands and other duties;
- Merchandise – Man the temporary tattoos booth; Work merchandise sales booth; Set up merchandise booth the day of the festival;
